The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Wireless Telecommunications Bureau and Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (collectively the Bureaus) have revoked the suspension on acceptance and processing of certain Part 22 and Part 90 applications for T-Band Spectrum.  This action follows the enactment of the Don’t Break Up the T-Band Act that repealed the T-Band Mandate, which required the Commission to reallocate and auction spectrum frequencies in the T-Band.

Within 30 days of the release of this Public Notice, the Bureaus will: (1) resume processing T-Band license renewal applications; and (2) process all other pending T-Band applications.  Following the 30-day processing period, applicants and frequency coordinators will have a 30-day period to begin pre-coordination efforts, which must not commence before February 18, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. ET.  After that period, from March 22, 2021 until June 21, 2021, the Bureaus will accept applications only from incumbent licensees for the following categories: (1) license modification applications characterized as minor; (2) applications characterized as major; (3) Part 90 applications, but only such applications that propose operation with 12.5 kHz bandwidth or narrow channels or employ a technology that achieves a narrowband equivalent.
