FCC Chairman Carr has announced the appointment of Joseph Calascione as Chief of the Wireless Bureau to replace former Chief Trent Harkrader. Mr. Calascione previously served in several roles at the Commission including as Legal Advisor to the Chief of the Wireline Bureau, and Legal Advisor to then-Commissioner Carr on various aspects of universal service, mapping, 5G, and broadband infrastructure. Mr. Calascione also has several years of experience practicing communications law at a Washington D.C. law firm and spent time working with the Senate Commerce Committee.
