The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB or Bureau) has announced that the Secure Telephone Identity Governance Authority (Governance Authority) has revised its Service Provider Code (SPC) Token Access Policy to enable providers without direct access to telephone numbers to immediately pursue the certificate necessary to participate in the STIR/SHAKEN caller ID authentication.  Providers seeking this certificate still must register in the Commission’s Robocall Mitigation Database by June 30, 2021.
