In a Public Notice, the FCC announced that its revised Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) filing requirements adopted in the 2025 Robocall Mitigation Database Report and Order go into effect February 5, 2026.  The updated rules require providers to make updates to their Database information within 10 days of any change. The updated rules also impose a higher base forfeiture for providers filing false or inaccurate information, and establish an annual recertification requirement.  The requirement for providers to submit an application fee is not yet effective.  The Commission has also produced a “Frequently Asked Questions” document to assist providers in interpreting the Commission’s requirements. It is available at the following link.

Additionally, the Public Notice reminds RMD filers that they must recertify their RMD filings by March 1, 2026.  The recertification filing window opens February 1.
