The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) has released a Public Notice adjusting the funding caps for the E-Rate and Rural Health Care (RHC) programs. Each new funding cap represents a 2.8 percent inflation-based increase to help keep these Universal Service Fund programs up to date with the changing needs of schools, libraries, and rural health care providers. For funding year 2026, the E-Rate program will have a funding cap of about $5.2 billion and the RHC program will have a funding cap of about $744 million.
