The FCC has suspended seven people from participating in Universal Service Fund (USF) programs. Each individual receiving a Notice of Suspension has been found guilty of a crime related to fraud or delayed payments in the E-Rate program and is suspended from participating in or receiving any benefit from all federal universal service support programs. The FCC has also initiated a debarment proceeding for each suspended participant. These suspensions and debarment proceedings come on the heels of the Commission’s new rules adopted last month that greatly expand the Commission’s authority
