The FCC’s Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB) has adopted an Order, terminating, as dormant, 2,048 proceedings identified in the Attachment to the Order. The Commission states that terminating these proceedings furthers the Commission’s goals of increasing decision-making efficiency, modernizing agency processes, and enhancing openness and transparency.  The CGB has declined to terminate nine proceedings included in the Ninth Dormant Proceedings Termination Public Notice.  Such proceedings pertain to a range of issues, including geophysical survey systems, broadcasting service ownership, AM radio service, post-incentive auction transitions, and cable communications. The Commission has found cause to keep such proceedings open.
