The FCC has published its adopted rules requiring wireless providers to implement georouting solutions for 988 text messages in the Federal Register and set an effective date for the rules – October 16, 2025. As a result, nationwide providers must comply with the adopted rules within 18 months of the effective date, April 16, 2027, and non-nationwide providers must comply with the adopted rules within 36 months of the effective date, October 16, 2028.
