FCC Adopts Direct Final Rule to Delete 36 More Rules Governing Outdated Technologies

The FCC has adopted another Direct Final Rule as part of its ongoing “Delete, Delete, Delete” deregulatory initiative. The Direct Final Rule focuses on rules managed by the Commission’s Office of Engineering and Technology in Parts 2, 15, and 18 of the Code of Federal Regulations. The rules targeted for removal regulate obsolete equipment, including analog cable receivers and antiquated cordless phones.
