The FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) has instituted several proceedings to withdraw accredited test lab recognition for labs pursuant to section 302(e) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and sections 2.951(d) and (e) of the Commission’s rules. Specifically, OET has instituted proceedings to withdraw recognition for the following entities: (1) Chongqing Academy of Information and Communications a/k/a Chongqing Academy of Information and Communications Technology; (2) CVC Testing Technology Co., Ltd.; (3) TUV Rheinland/CCIC (Ningbo) Co., Ltd.; (4) CVC Testing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; and (5) Telecommunication Technology Labs CAICT. The Commission asserts that the Chinese government has some ownership or control over such entities. Each entity must file a response within 35 days demonstrating why recognition should not be withdrawn.
