The FCC has issued a Public Notice announcing the compliance deadline for the amended Telephone Consumer Protection Act requirements. The amended requirements include numerical limits on exempted artificial or prerecorded voice calls to residential lines, up to three calls per thirty-day period for most types of calls and up to three calls per seven-day period for certain HIPAA-related calls. Callers also have the option to obtain oral or written consent if they wish to make more calls than the numerical limits. The amended requirements also require callers making such exempt calls to allow consumers to opt out of any future calls. The compliance deadline for these requirements is July 20, 2023.
