The FCC’s Office of Economics and Analytics (OEA) and Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) have released a Public Notice, establishing the procedures to be used for Auction 113, the auction of 200 Advanced Wireless Services (AWS) spectrum licenses in the 1695-1710 MHz, 1755-1780 MHz, and 2155-2180 MHz bands (collectively, the AWS-3 bands). Bidding is scheduled to begin on June 2, 2026. Auction 113 will be conducted using an ascending clock auction with a supply of one in each category of frequency-specific channel blocks (i.e., the “clock-1” auction format). The Public Notice details the procedures, terms, conditions, dates, and deadlines governing Auction 113 bidding, and post-auction application and payment processes.
