The FCC has adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking proposing to formally identify entities holding licenses and authorizations in the communications sector that are controlled by foreign adversaries as part of ongoing efforts to protect U.S. communications networks from exploitation and compromise.  The FCC aims to enhance its understanding of potential threats by implementing certification and information collection requirements.  The Commission believes that these efforts will help it identify entities with licenses and authorizations that may be influenced by foreign adversaries.
