The FCC has adopted a Direct Final Rule to repeal approximately 21 rules and requirements as part of the Commission’s ongoing “Delete, Delete, Delete” deregulatory initiative.  The Commission states that these rule provisions are unnecessary because they have been sunset by operation of law or govern an expired event.  The rules identified in the Direct Final Rule specifically include a rule referencing a board that has not existed in more than a decade and a rule that was rendered moot in 2012 when FirstNet was established.
