The Senate has voted 53-45 to confirm Commissioner-designate Olivia Trusty to a full, five-year term, which begins July 1. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) was the only Democrat to vote for Trusty, as he was on June 17 when the Senate confirmed Trusty to complete former FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel’s term, which expires June 30. Once she is sworn in, Trusty will shift the FCC to a 2-1 Republican majority and will restore the FCC’s quorum.
