The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has released a Public Notice seeking comment on a petition of OXIO Corporation (OXIO), seeking waiver of the requirement in the Commission’s numbering assignment rules that states that an applicant for initial numbering resources must include in its application evidence that the applicant is authorized to provide service in the area for which the numbering resources are requested. OXIO is seeking the waiver to “ensure that it has access to telephone numbers for its innovative hybrid wireless service.” Comments on the petition are due July 7. Reply comments are due July 22.
