The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has entered into a Consent Decree to resolve its investigation into whether United Internet Services, LLC (UIS) failed to comply with the Commission’s robocall mitigation rules. Following the February 26, 2024, effective date of amended Robocall Mitigation Database (RMD) requirements, the Commission’s Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) conducted a review of RMD certifications and identified providers that failed to submit an updated certification by the relevant deadline. The WCB found that UIS failed to submit an updated RMD certification and updated robocall mitigation plan by such deadline. To settle this matter, UIS has admitted that its RMD certification was noncompliant and will implement a compliance plan.
