The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB) released its Triennial Report on the Efficacy of the Technologies Used in the STIR/SHAKEN Caller ID Authentication Framework submitted to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, as required by the TRACED Act. The Report found that the STIR/SHAKEN framework has been effective since implementation two years ago, ultimately concluding that it is not necessary to revise or replace the current STIR/SHAKEN framework at this time.
