On April 20, 2026, the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau issued an Initial Determination Order and Order to Show Cause giving a voice service provider SK Teleco 14 days to demonstrate compliance with the FCC’s traceback rules or face penalties. Finding that the provider did not provide a sufficient response to prior Notices or respond at all to the Initial Determination Order, the FCC has determined that SK Teleco is not in compliance with section 64.1200(n) of the Commission’s rules which require all voice service providers to respond to traceback requests within 24 hours of receipt. Now, the Enforcement Bureau has issued a Final Determination Order and Removal Order requiring all providers immediately downstream of SK Teleco to block and cease accepting all traffic from SK Teleco within 30 days and removing SK Teleco from the Robocall Mitigation Database. This Order indicates the FCC’s firm stance on complying with its rules regarding traceback requests.
