The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has issued a Public Notice announcing that the filing window for Alternative Connect America Cost Model I carriers to submit their certifications opens today, February 6, 2026.  A-CAM I carriers requesting a downward adjustment to their required location count and associated support must file a certification stating that they have reviewed the December 2025 Broadband Serviceable Location (BSL) Fabric dataset and determined that that it reflects fewer units in their funded service area than the Connect America Cost Model estimated count.

The filing window for these certifications closes on Monday, April 6, 2026.  The Bureau stated that this will be the only opportunity for A-CAM I carriers to seek an adjustment to their obligations based on the Fabric.  This certification must be filed electronically in WC Docket No. 10-90 in the FCC’s Electronic Comment Filing System.
