FCC Extends Waivers for Certain Lifeline Program Rules

Due to the new variant of the coronavirus and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau has extended prior waivers of certain Lifeline program rules through March 31, 2022.  The waivers pertain to Lifeline rules that govern documentation requirements for subscribers who live in rural areas on Tribal lands, general de-enrollment, reverification, recertification, and income documentation.  The FCC will continue to evaluate whether additional waiver extensions are appropriate.
