The FCC has announced that it has granted Special Temporary Authority (STA) to both T-Mobile and US Cellular, a move which allows the two wireless carriers to use additional spectrum in the 600 MHz Band and AWS-3 Band, respectively, to help meet increased customer demand for broadband during the coronavirus pandemic.  T-Mobile will be able to use 600 MHz Band spectrum held by Dish Network, Comcast, and various other FCC licensees for a period of 60 days throughout the United States.  Similarly, US Cellular will now be able to use AWS-3 Band spectrum held by FCC licensee Advantage Spectrum for 60 days in the states of California, Oregon, Washington, and Wisconsin.
