The Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) has released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) seeking comment on a transition to mandatory electronic filing for all Universal Licensing System (ULS) correspondence and an expansion of electronic filing for related systems.  Additionally, this NPRM proposes to require applicants to provide an e-mail address on the FCC Forms related to these systems.  In continuing their modernization efforts, the Commission argues that a completely electronic filing process will decrease costs for consumers, improve public access to data, improve administrative efficiency, and improve accessibility for a variety of users.

Interested parties may file comments 30 days after the NPRM is published in the Federal Register (it has yet to be published), and may file reply comments 45 days after its date of publication in the Federal Register.  If you are interested in filing comments, please let us know.
