The FCC’s Broadband Data Task Force and Office of Engineering and Technology have released a Public Notice approving the use of Georgia Institute of Technology’s third-party mobile speed test app, CellWatch v1.0, in the Broadband Data Collection (BDC) mobile challenge process. The app has been approved for use for a five-year term beginning December 22, 2025 and now may be used to evaluate coverage across the United States.
