The FCC has released a Public Notice reminding Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF) carriers that the deadline for filing challenges to the Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric (Fabric) to be considered for inclusion in the December 2026 Fabric revision is September 1, 2026. Additional information about the Broadband Data Collection (BDC) is available here, and challenges can be submitted using the BDC System online.
Additionally, the Public Notice provides further guidance related to adjusting required RDOF location totals as the FCC’s High Cost Universal Broadband (HUBB) portal transitions to using Fabric-based locations. This guidance further clarifies the procedures for the fabric challenge process, the timing of final RDOF location lists, interim and final RDOF carrier milestones, and the handling of “unreasonable to serve” RDOF locations. More information about the timeline for transitioning to the Fabric is available online.
