FCC Releases Tentative Agenda for February Open Meeting

The FCC has released a tentative agenda for the upcoming February Open Commission Meeting, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Accordingly, the FCC plans to consider the following four items:

  • A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking to “strengthen the integrity” of the Lifeline Program through reforms.
  • A Report and Order to enable broadband deployment on the 900 MHz band (896-901 and 935-940 MHz) and provide additional spectrum access to utility, infrastructure, and private wireless companies.
  • A Public Notice proposing to limit applications for new noncommercial educational reserved band FM translator stations to ten in 2026.
  • A Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking to reform intercarrier compensation, interexchange services, and Connect America Fund Intercarrier Compensation support.
