The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) approved final Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program proposals from the following eight states and territories: (1) Mississippi; (2) New Mexico; (3) Oregon; (4) Pennsylvania; (5) Puerto Rico; (6) Tennessee; (7) Vermont; and (8) the U.S. Virgin Islands.  50 states and territories have now received final approval.

In June, NTIA issued a Policy Notice requiring states and territories to rescind all preliminary and provisional broadband provider subaward elections and conduct a new selection round for each BEAD-eligible location under new rules aiming to eliminate preferences for fiber projects and other provisions of the BEAD Notice of Funding Opportunity.  The final proposals from Alaska, California, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Washington, remain pending.  Louisiana remains the only state to have signed BEAD grant agreements with subgrantee ISPs.
