President Biden has unveiled the new Build Back Better Act framework which includes significant cuts to the initial $3.5 trillion proposal.  The newly shaped package rings in at around $1.75 trillion but still includes funding for communications and cybersecurity programs.  Notable relevant proposed reductions to the prior version include smaller allocations for next-generation 911 grant programs, cuts to the Emergency Connectivity Fund, and a smaller budget for a new privacy bureau within the Federal Trade Commission. The new framework is nearly 1,700 pages long; an official overview released by the Biden Administration is available here.
