The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (Bureau) is seeking comment on the selection of two entities tasked with handling and managing certain aspects of the ongoing clearing and transition of the C-band (3.7-4.2 GHz) for wireless broadband. First, an FCC-designated search committee selected as Relocation Payment Clearinghouse (Clearinghouse) CohnReznick and subcontractors Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP and Intellicom Technologies, Inc. The Clearinghouse is responsible for handling all cost-related aspects of the C-band transition. Second, another FCC-designated search committee selected as Relocation Coordinator RSM US LLP. The Relocation Coordinator will be responsible for managing the overall C-band transition and coordinating relocation actions among eligible space station operators, incumbent earth station operators, and new 3.7 GHz licensees. The Bureau seeks comment on these selected parties and the extent to which they satisfy the FCC’s selection criteria for these C-band transition facilitation roles. Comments are due by August 18 and replies by August 28, 2020.
