The FCC has closed Auction 96 for the 1915-1920 MHz and 1995-2000 MHz bands (H Block) and announced that American H Block Wireless L.L.C., which is wholly-owned by DISH Network Corporation, is the lone winning bidder of all 176 H Block licenses offered in Auction 96.  DISH’s combined bids total $1.564 billion, which matches the FCC’s reserve price for the spectrum.   In 2013, DISH committed to meeting the H Block reserve price in Auction 96 if the FCC would agree to waive certain technical rules pertaining to DISH’s existing AWS spectrum.
