The FCC has adopted new rules to enhance the accessibility standards for online tools, including video conferencing.  Specifically, the new rules provide clarity on how existing accessibility performance objectives in the rules apply to interoperable video conferencing services.  In the adopted Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, the FCC seeks comment on further measures it can take to ensure the accessibility of video conferencing, including for user control of IVCS accessibility features, and to facilitate the provision of telecommunications relay services in video conferences.
