FCC Announces Date of Application Filing Window for Round 2 of the COVID-19 Telehealth Program

The FCC has announced that the application filing window for Round 2 of the COVID-19 Telehealth Program (Program) will open on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 12:00 PM ET. The filing window will last seven calendar days and close on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM ET. Applications will be accepted when the filing window opens, and reviewed after the filing window closes. Round 2 of the Program is a $249 million federal initiative established by the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, that builds on the $200 million Program established as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020. The FCC’s Program supports the efforts of health care providers to continue serving their patients by providing reimbursement for telecommunications services, information services, and connected devices necessary to enable telehealth during the COVID19 pandemic. On March 30, 2021, the FCC adopted an order that established the requirements and necessary procedures for awarding Round 2 funds.
