FCC Issues NAL Proposing Total Forfeitures of $4.3 Million for RDOF Defaults

The FCC has issued a Notice of Apparent Liability proposing a total of approximately $4.3 million in forfeitures to be assessed to 73 Rural Digital Opportunity Fund Phase I Auction applicants that defaulted on their bids in violation of the FCC’s rules.  The applicants defaulted for either withdrawing their application with respect to certain areas or their failure to meet agreed upon deadlines and requirements of the auction.  The defaults span over 1,702 census block groups.  The attached appendices to the NAL detail the defaults at issue.
