FCC Proposes $1.46 Million Penalty on Skyswitch

In a Notice of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture (NAL), the FCC has proposed a penalty on PayG, LLC d/b/a Skyswitch (PayG) of $1,460,085 for its failure to fully pay its obligations to the Universal Service Fund (USF), Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) Fund, and North America Numbering Plan (NANP) and what it has owed in federal regulatory fees.  In evaluating the PayG’s misconduct impacting each fund from 2018 to 2021, the FCC found PayG highly culpable for its egregious misconduct failing to pay and underpaying the USF and TRS.  The FCC also found PayG culpable for repeatedly underpaying NANP and highly culpable for repeatedly not paying and underpaying its federal regulatory fee payments.
