The FCC has approved a Report and Order that provides guidance on eligible services, bidding processes, funding requests, updating projects, and reporting procedures for its Connected Care Pilot Program (program).  The program allocates up to $100 million in Universal Service Funds to health care providers in an attempt to offset the costs of providing connected care services to patients.

Additionally, the FCC has announced its approval of a second group of program projects, allocating a total amount of over $31 million to 36 pilot projects.  These projects target a number of health issues, including chronic disease, maternal health, mental health, and opioid issues, in rural, Tribal, low-income, and other underserved areas.
