The FCC’s Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) has issued a public notice reminding 700 MHz licensees (Lower A Block, B Block, and E Block, and Upper C Block) of upcoming filing deadlines for construction notifications and performance status reports. The WTB also reminds licensees that notifications of construction are due within 15 days of the construction deadline. The WTB also noted that it will place 700 MHz construction notifications on Public Notice, and interested parties may file comments no later than 30 days after the Public Notice release date. The WTB also reminds licensees of the required content for Second Status Reports which must include the date the license term commenced and the steps the licensee will take or has taken towards timely meeting its construction deadlines. The Bureau encourages licensees that hold multiple 700 MHz licenses to file a consolidated status report indicating the required information on a license-by-license basis. The Bureau also updated the process for filing electronic maps in the shapefile format and reminded licensees that they may request that shapefile maps be afforded confidential treatment by the Commission, via ULS.
