FCC Chairman Brendan Carr announced in a blog post three items for the FCC’s next Open Meeting on December 18. The FCC will consider:
- An Order to help further mitigate illegal robocalls requiring every provider with direct access to phone numbers to certify and disclose information about robocall compliance, public safety, and national security;
- An Order to update licensing clarity for low power television (LPTV) broadcasters; and
- A Delete, Delete, Delete action to remove 38 outdated and unnecessary rules that regulate outdated technologies.
