The Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC or Commission) Wireline Competition Bureau (WCB or Bureau) has announced that there is sufficient funding available to meet the Universal Service Administrative Company’s (USAC) E-Rate supported services estimated demand for category one and category two requests for funding year 2020 (FY 2020).  To fulfill both the category one and category two requests, USAC estimates that the total demand will be $2.91 billion ($1.74 billion for category one and $1.17 billion for category two) and the Bureau has set the cap for FY 2020 at $4.23 billion.  The unused funds from last funding year, totaling $500 million, will be distributed first in fulfilling the E-Rate funding requests and then USAC can fully fund both category one and category two requests with the FY 2020 budget allocation.
