The FCC has released updated guidance regarding location and broadband coverage in the Enhanced Alternative Connect America Model (Enhanced A-CAM) mechanism. The Wireline Competition Bureau has modified guidance that it issued on January 25, 2024, regarding which Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric and Broadband Data Collection (BDC) availability data would be used to determine final deployment obligations and support amounts for Enhanced A-CAM recipients.
The Bureau has announced that it will use BDC availability data as of June 30, 2023, where it is available, rather than data as of December 30, 2023, to determine Enhanced A-CAM deployment obligations and support for locations in the December 30, 2023, Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric.
