Wireline Competition Bureau Announces Availability of Unused Funds to Increase Rural Health Care Program Funding

The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has announced the availability of unused funds to increase Rural Health Care (RHC) Program funding for funding year 2021.  The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) has projected that as of March 31, 2021, a total of $379.97 million in unused funds from prior funding years is available for future funding years.  The Bureau, pursuant to FCC instruction and rules, and in consultation with the Office of the Managing Director, has instructed USAC to advance up to $379.97 million in funds to satisfy RHC Program demand for funding year 2021.
