The FCC is seeking comment on the United States’ positions for the upcoming 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC-27). The WRC is the conference where the United Nations’ International Telecommunications Union (ITU) sets strategies, policies, and plans to revise the ITU Radio Regulations and harmonize global telecommunications policy.  The FCC’s World Radiocommunication Conference Advisory Committee, as well as the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), have submitted recommendations for the U.S. positions on global spectrum policy and frequency allocation.  The FCC now seeks comment on the recommendations by March 6, 2026 for upcoming interagency consultations with the U.S. Department of State and NTIA to develop the official U.S. positions for WRC.
