The FCC  has issued a public notice announcing compliance dates for its expanded online public file requirements.  Most entities that are subject to the online public file database requirement will be required to begin using the FCC’s online public file database on June 24, 2016, although entities such as small cable systems that are subject to a delayed phase in of the online public file requirement will have until March 1, 2018.   As of June 24, 2016 television broadcasters must begin using the expanded online public inspection file (OPII) rather than the existing broadcast public inspection file (BPIF). The FCC will move all documents in the BPIF to the OPIF by midnight on June 24, 2016 and effective on that date the BPIF will no longer be available.
