The FCC announced the comment deadlines for its Third Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the Numbering Policies for Modern Communications proceeding, which seeks further comment on protecting numbering resources, including on how to reclaim numbering resources from interconnected voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) providers who have had their authorizations terminated and restricting authorizations for providers that pose national security risks. Comments are due March 16, 2026, and Reply Comments are due April 13, 2026.
