The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has entered into a Consent Decree with Arctic Slope Telephone Association Cooperative, Inc. (Arctic Slope) to resolve an investigation into Arctic Slope’s failure to inspect daily the lights on three of its antenna structures and display the correct antenna structure registration number at the base of one tower, in violation of the FCC’s antenna structure rules. As part of the Consent Decree, Arctic Slope admits the rules violations and agrees to pay a fine of $45,000. Arctic Slope must also implement a compliance plan that includes company operating and employee training procedures to ensure future compliance with the FCC’s antenna structure rules, and the terms and conditions of the Consent Decree. In addition, Arctic Slope must submit compliance reports with the FCC for the next three years.
