The FCC has issued a Notice of Inquiry (NOI) soliciting comments and supporting data for its annual report to Congress on the status of competition in the market for the delivery of video programming. For its Sixteenth Annual Report, which will cover developments that occurred in 2013, the FCC will continue to use the format developed  for the past two reports.  The NOI requests data on the market structure, conduct and performance of multichannel video programming distributors (MVPDs), television broadcasters and online video distributors (OVDs).  The NOI also asks for the submission of data to assist the Commission in comparing video competition in rural versus urban areas.  Comments in response to the NOI are due on or before March 21, 2014 and reply comments are due on or before April 21, 2014.
