The FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology (OET) has sent letters denying applications for lab recognition from four labs controlled by the government of China. These “bad labs” are labs that review and approve electronics for use in the U.S. but are ultimately owned or controlled by a foreign adversary. OET has denied an initial application for recognition from CCIC-CSA International Certification Co., Ltd. Additionally, OET has denied applications for lab renewal from the Industrial Internet Innovation Center (Shanghai), State Radio Monitoring Center, and Reliability Laboratory – New H3C Technologies Co. Ltd.
