The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has reminded Priority 1 recipients (i.e., advanced communications service providers with two million or fewer customers) in the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Reimbursement Program (Reimbursement Program) of their May 8, 2026, deadline to complete the permanent removal, replacement, and disposal (RRD) of covered communications equipment and services in their networks.  Reimbursement Program recipients must file an FCC Form 5640 Part M – Final Certification (Final Certification) within 10 days after their RRD deadline expires.  After filing a Final Certification and a final spending report, recipients must work with the Fund Administrator to initiate and complete the close-out process.
