The FCC’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has announced that effective immediately, it will begin applying the default comment cycle to requests for review of decisions by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) concerning contributions to the Universal Service Fund (USF).  Under the default comment cycle, the FCC provides ten days for comments after an original appeal is filed, and five days for replies to comments.  Notwithstanding the announcement, the Bureau may extend the comment cycle by issuing a public notice in individual cases if a particular request for review raises complex or difficult issues of industry-wide significance.
