The Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission), as part of a Report and Order, has adopted new application fees, pursuant to authority under the RAY BAUM’s Act of 2018, that significantly change the previous fee schedule in terms of types of applications covered and the fee amounts.  The new application fees apply to a wide range of filings including applications, modifications, amendments, and renewals covering wireless, broadcast, and satellite licenses.  For example, the FCC has adopted a $95 fee for new site-based license applications.  The new fee schedules also cover applications to participate in auctions, tariff filings, formal complaints, and petitions.
