The FCC has adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to codify and strengthen consumers’ rights to revoke their consent to receive robocalls and robotexts.  The FCC proposal allows consumers to revoke consent via any method the consumer can reasonably expect to reach the caller, including text message, voicemail, or email.  The proposal requires robocallers and robotexters to honor consumers’ requests within 24 hours of receiving the revocation-of-consent requests.
